Career Connections "Knowledge Bowl" Program
CBI-CC is pleased to again offer our Career Connections "Knowledge Bowl" program (for use on (Windows 2000 or higher) on a compact disk (CD) only to Career Connections teacher/coordinators throughout Ohio. Knowledge Bowl disks contain over 1,800 questions and answers in academic subject areas based on at least 10th grade academic competencies in 20 categories: Capitals, English, Geography, Government, Health, History, Income Tax, Leadership, Literature, Math, Ohio History, Our United States, Potpourri, Safety, Science, Spelling, Sports, The Arts, VIP and Working World. This year, we have worked hard to update all categories and to gear the core curricular categories to the OGT. At least 11 of the 20 categories have information geared from the OGT and Ohio State Standards.
You must buy a separate program for each computer on which you wish to install this program. Also, you must be separate disks for each teacher. Note: The KB program is NOT to be installed on a network.
Pricing: The first "Knowledge Bowl" program costs $40. Each additional program costs $10.
This program contains all that is necessary to study, practice, and conduct an actual current school year "Knowledge Bowl" contest. The program allows students to study each category individually (either on the screen or in the form of a printout), and to run both practice and official "Knowledge Bowl" contests. "Knowledge Bowl" is an excellent teaching and learning tool for your classroom, whether you participate in contests against other schools or not.
Updated programs containing all current categories, questions, answers, and rules are available from October 1st to February 1st of each year.
In order to be eligible for Regional and State Competitions, order forms stating the coordinator(s) for whom the disks are being purchased AND payment must be postmarked no later than Feb. 1st.
